Hotel Wren is located in the beautiful High Mojave Desert of Southern California, just 10 miles east of Joshua Tree, on the north side of the majestic National Park in the historic town of Twentynine Palms. Venture out to find us at 6340 El Rey Avenue, Twentynine Palms CA 92277. 

Hotel Wren is a refuge for adults 21 years and older. Visitors under 21 years of age are welcome to visit our on-site store, Windsong, but unfortunately cannot visit other communal areas or guest rooms. If you are interested in our family weekends, please reach out.

Reservations require a valid credit card. Upon check-in, an authorization hold will be placed for your total room balance plus $75 per night for incidentals. Should there be no mini-bar purchased and/or no incidentals incurred, we will release the $75 per night hold after check-out.

You may cancel or change your reservation within 7-days of your arrival at no charge. Change requests or cancellations made after this time will result in a 1-night rate charge at your average nightly room rate.

Hotel Wren is a unique property, and unlike some other hotels, there is not a 24-hour reception team. Our reception team is on-site from 7am-9pm and an emergency phone number is available at all hours. If you plan on checking in after hours, please let us know in advance so we can make sure you are well-received.

Check-in is after 3 pm and check-out is at 11 am. Guests are welcome to enjoy the property before or after their stay and we are happy to store bags as needed. If you would like to request an early check-in or late check-out, please reach out to us as early as possible and we will do our best to accommodate your request. If you need to ensure your room is ready at a specific time, please contact us to place a block on the room for the night prior to your arrival at an additional charge. Please note that our reception team is on-site from 7am-9pm. If you plan on checking in after hours, please let us know in advance so we can make sure you are well-received. Lost keys will incur a fee of $250.

We understand that plans can sometimes change at the last minute. Please let our staff know as soon as you think you may need to make a change. If you have to cut your stay short after check-in, you will be charged for one additional night.

Hotel Wren has complimentary self-parking located next to the hotel lobby. Blink Dual Port EV car chargers are available on-site for guest and visitor use. We are not responsible for damage to your car or its contents. While the property is quite safe, please lock up for peace of mind.

All guests, including visitors, staying at Hotel Wren must be registered with reception at the time of booking or check-in. Visitors are permitted to join us at the discretion of the Hotel Manager and when availability allows. All visitors must abide by hotel policies and be 21 years or older.

Our guest rooms do not have televisions or phones. There is complimentary Wifi throughout the property.

We love welcoming well-behaved dogs to Hotel Wren and have a limited number of pet-friendly rooms available. If you’re bringing your pup, please be sure to book one of these designated rooms.

A few things to keep in mind so everyone—humans and dogs alike—can have a great stay:

• Leashes Required – For the comfort of all guests, dogs must be leashed in common areas.

• No Unattended Pets – Pups can’t be left alone in rooms or anywhere on the property.

• Potty Etiquette – Please take dogs outside the hotel courtyard to relieve themselves in the designated areas. Private patios, the garden, and the pool area are not pet relief spots.

• Keep Dogs Off the Furniture – We love a cozy moment, but please keep pups on the floor so our spaces stay fresh for everyone.

• Cleaning & Damage – A $100 non-refundable cleaning fee per stay applies (one dog max per room). Owners are responsible for any damages.

Please note that there are restrictions on where dogs are allowed in Joshua Tree National Park. Before planning your visit, consult the park’s website for specifics.

Each room features a kitchenette equipped with a two-burner induction stovetop, mini-fridge with freezer, toaster oven, gooseneck kettle, and essential cooking and serving ware. Additional provisions can be found in our on-site store, Windsong.

Hotel Wren observes quiet Hours of 10pm-8am across the property. Should you encounter any noise concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact us anytime using the 24-hour number provided at reception.

Smoking is not permitted in guest rooms or within the communal outdoor areas of the property. Guests who do not honor our smoke-free policy will be charged a $250 fine. Smoking is allowed on private patios and in designated smoking areas. We kindly ask you to be considerate of other guests and mindful of your surroundings when smoking.

Hotel Wren is ADA-compliant and is committed to accommodating the needs of all our guests. Our lobby, general store, and pool area are ADA accessible and we have a pool and spa lift.
